BRAND LJ \,J \,J Published by Anvil Brand, Inc., of High Point, N. C VOL. VIII SPRING QUARTER, 1963 No. 6 S ALL-AMERICA ' M ANVIL BRAND MAKES “ALL-AMERICA” FLAGS FOR CITY SCHOOLS—Mr. G. K. Hammes, right above, president of Anvil Brand, and Reitzel N. Morgan and W. J. Rives, vice-presidents of the company, look at one of the new “All- America City” flags which are to be presented to each of the High Point City Schools. These flags and a banner 35 feet long and six feet wide were made in the Dungaree Depart ment. Elsie Lester, a supervisor and one of the most expert seamstresses in the company, did all the sewing. The banner was used at the ceremony at High Point College Stadium when the “All-America” award was presented to High Point. It also will be used at the national swim meet of the American Athletic Union to be held at High Point City Lake this Sum mer. Mr. Hammes said Anvil Brand is happy to cooperate with the High Point Junior Chamber of Commerce in making the flags and banner, and to share in the honor which has come to High Point.
